Domino's · Minecraft Dungeons II collaboration (the Domino)

Domino's turned a pizza's shape into an excuse to team up with Minecraft

Domino's didn't just buy an ad inside Minecraft. It tied in-game pets, packaging and a token giveaway to its loyalty programme, betting that a rectangular pizza and a block-based game are a natural fit.

The TL;DR (too long; didn't read)

  • Domino's is launching a tie-up with 'Minecraft Dungeons II' on 26 October across 19 global markets, built around its new rectangular Detroit-style personal pizza, the Domino.
  • Rewards members who buy a Domino unlock an avatar skin, a cape and a 'Cheesy Cube Pet'; there are also six collectible packaging designs, a daily game-token giveaway requiring proof of purchase, and creator content including a 15-second TV spot.
  • The details come from what Domino's shared with Marketing Dive, and the campaign hasn't launched yet, so there are no redemption, sign-up or sales figures. A separate, brand-reported figure says Domino's Rewards had over 37 million active users at the end of 2025, but that's about the programme overall, not this tie-in.

Finding a (literal) shape-based reason to partner up

Linking a rectangular pizza to a game built from blocks is a small but useful bit of logic: it gives the partnership a reason to exist beyond 'games are popular', which makes the tie-in feel less like a bolted-on sponsorship.

That kind of product-level hook matters because audiences are quick to spot a partnership that only exists for reach, with no real connection between the two brands.
